Wife and I taking the dogs to gatlinburg. Do the pet friendly hotels allow you to leave the dogs in the room?

Wife and I taking the dogs to Gatlinburg and just wondering if the pet friendly hotels allow you to leave the dogs in the room unattended?

(Crated ofcourse)

There are some things we want to do like the aquarium and we just can't take the dogs everywhere with us.

Also how safe is it to leave the dogs alone in the hotel room?

What is the risk of the dogs being stolen?

We have booked our room already and was just curious.Wife and I taking the dogs to gatlinburg. Do the pet friendly hotels allow you to leave the dogs in the room?
Most let you leave the dogs in the room as long as they are in a crate...

Every hotel is different...call and ask them what their policy is...Wife and I taking the dogs to gatlinburg. Do the pet friendly hotels allow you to leave the dogs in the room?
I don't know about Gatlinburg, but we often travel with our dog. Some hotels allow you to leave them in the room alone and some don't, so you have to ask. If they do, you can usually ask not to have room service that day if you do not feel comfortable having someone else in the room with your dog or your dog is not comfortable with strangers.

To our knowledge, nothing adverse has ever happened to our dog in a hotel room. She loves to travel with us and goes into each room with great joy and she always seems calm when we come back. Because of these reactions, we feel pretty sure that she has been fine with her experiences.

If you don't mind not-so-fancy hotels, you might want to consider La Quinta in the future. They are great with dogs. If you prefer upscale lodging, you might want to check out a pet travel book. There are some awesome Bed %26amp; Breakfasts that cater to both you and your pups.

Good luck!
I have stayed in two different pet friendly motels. We were allowed to leave the dogs in the room and since the room came with a dead bolt lock, it was secure.

We also let the manager know when we were leaving so that housekeeping would not come in, and we hung the ';do not distrub'; sign on the door.
You booked the room already and have not asked them if it was OK to leave the dogs in the room. You decided that here on Yahoo you'll get a better answer...

OK, I say you can leave the dogs unattended. If the hotel people tell you the opposite, tell them that some guy on Yahoo said it was OK.
I stayed in one once and the only requirements the hotel had was that I have the dog in a kennel while gone.....I would contact that hotel and see if that have any requirements like that...if you plan to bring crates/kennels then I don't see a problem..I just personally didn't want the maid or someone coming in while I wasn't there so I did put a do not disturb sign on the door.
Every hotel we've been in has allowed it. Some hotels require the dog be crated when you can't watch it, but every hotel we've stayed in with a dog has allowed for it to be free.
I would call %26amp; speak to someone in management as to their policies %26amp; what if any services they provide. Have a safe %26amp; fun trip.
Oh of course if he is in the crate but the chase he gets stolen are slim to none because have you ever had anything stolen in hotel
