*Green Bay Packer Fans please read*; What are the best hotels to stay at that are pet friendly in Green Bay?

My family and I are staying in Green Bay from this Thursday night (21st) to Sunday (24th). We have three Chihuahua鈥檚 that we are bringing with us on the trip. So far we have not found a decent hotel that is pet friendly and smoke free. I know there are thousands of people that are huge packer fans that come to every game and most likely bring their pets with; I am hoping one of them will help me out! We need to book this ASAP so the sooner the better. :)

Thanks so much!!*Green Bay Packer Fans please read*; What are the best hotels to stay at that are pet friendly in Green Bay?
Try the Ramada Plaza in Green Bay, where you can find a non-smoking room available for $99 this weekend on BringFido.com: http://www.bringfido.com/lodging/98845/*Green Bay Packer Fans please read*; What are the best hotels to stay at that are pet friendly in Green Bay?
Look for a hotel with Bears fans. If they let them in, a few chihuahuas should be no problemo.

  • Suggestions for pet friendly house/cabin/apt. (No hotels) vacation rental in Asheville NC in Sept?

I'm vacationing with some friends in Asheville, NC and we want a rental 9/5-9/11. Here are our specific needs:

*We're targeting to spend no more than $1,200 for the week, though we could pay a little more for something truly fantastic.

*It must be PET FRIENDLY, as we will be traveling with two very mellow medium sized dogs

*It needs to be configured as either a 3 bedroom, or a 2 bedroom with 2 beds in one of the bedrooms. Pull-out coouches do not count as a bed.

*We'd like to be as close to Downtown Asheville as possible. I'm finding plenty of places that meet our needs 15 miles out of town, but I'm thinking that the stuff closer in is individually owned, and not as easily found on the internet.

It'd be great to have the input of an Asheville native or a frequent visitor, and this site always seems to pony up someone who knows everything I need to know about the most obscure topics, so....Can you help?Suggestions for pet friendly house/cabin/apt. If you search on the web for pet friendly hotels in DC you will more than likely pull up several. Here's the thing, hotels in the city are going to cost you atleast 2 bills per night, plus the added cost for your dogs (can be 50 for each one or more per night) Look outside of the city, Alexandria Va, Rosslyn Va, a short metro ride into the city. Good luck.WhaT ARE SOME GOOD PROCED HOTELS IN WASHINGTON DC THAT ARE PET FRIENDLY?

Looking for pet friendly carribean hotels?

A lot of places in the Caribbean do not encourage you to bring your pet with you to the island. They will have to be quarantined for a period of time (and not just for a week...try 6 months). I'd advise a pet sitter or kennel during your vacation or choose a different destination. I have 2 cats that I love, but because I don't want them in a kennel, I make sure they have a sitter at home so they won't be in a strange place.Looking for pet friendly carribean hotels?

While some hotels allow you to take dogs, if you want to treat your dog in style, take him to Green Valley Ranch. They have very special treatment for dogs such as a doggie walk, dog amenities, and special mats for the dogs in the room. Plus, GVR is an awesome place to stay. most people shy away from it because it is off the strip. Nobody understands until they experience it for the first time.

  • ';Pet Friendly'; Hotel?

When you stay at a Pet friendly motel, do they have kennels so that you can leave your pet if you want to go our to eat or somewhere that you can't take your Pet?';Pet Friendly'; Hotel?
What that usually means is that they wlll allow you to have your pet in the room. If you're not in the room with your dog, you have to leave it in its crate, and let the cleaning staff know if it's going to be there while you're gone. Some places will charge a fee, some don't. Some have restrictions on size, such as nothing over 30 lbs. You have to check with any particular place you stay to see what their policies and restrictions are.

A good place to start looking is at the location below.

Good luck in finding the right accomodations for you and your pet.';Pet Friendly'; Hotel?
The ones I've been in don't.

But, I think it's way expensive if you bring your animal with you %26amp; it's a little hectic.

Me %26amp; my boyfriend are going out of state soon %26amp; we are putting our dog in a boarding place.

It's only going to cost $14 a night.

Maybe you could check into that.

    Good-Luck!
As a rule, no. If you plan on leaving the dog at the motel, you need to bring your own crate and set it up in your room to put the dog in when you leave.

Note - The cleaning crew tends to appreciate it if you either tell them to skip your room that day or hang a ';do not clean'; sign on the door-handle.
well i dont really think hat they generally have kennels... but depends on the motel itself..... generally, pets r the owners responsibility so most o em dont tend to ave kennels...but ya they may havin sum in da vicinity.... best thing to do is to enquire wit da motel itself if they can keep the pets or if there r ne kennels near by, before going to stay there!!!!
im pretty sure u can but i would look it up online just incase im wrong im never SURE of anything

  • Are most Holiday Inn Express hotels Pet Friendly?

i'll be taking a cross country road trip next year (we'll be moving) and i need to stay in hotels that are pet friendly for my guinea pigs. thank you!

*serious answers only please. Are most Holiday Inn Express hotels Pet Friendly?
you'd have to contact each property you'd be interested in staying at separately, to inquire about their pet policy. not all hotels allow pets, those that do frequently add a service charge (from $25/night and up). also, inqure on policy on leaving pets in your car - i stayed in a hotel in georgia, where there was not only a no pet policy, but state law prohibits leaving pets unattended in cars.

in all fairness, to you your pets are cute and cuddly, to others they are at best an annoyance and a nuisance, and at worst a hazard. and, to be honest, i wouldn't pay good money to stay in a room where someone had smoked, nor in one where a pet had been housed - i see no reason for me to pay to have to inhale stink.

being specific to holiday inn express, their website doesn't indicate any standard policy on pets. some of the other hotel brands operated by that group do have policies more to your liking.

Wife and I taking the dogs to gatlinburg. Do the pet friendly hotels allow you to leave the dogs in the room?

Wife and I taking the dogs to Gatlinburg and just wondering if the pet friendly hotels allow you to leave the dogs in the room unattended?

    (Crated ofcourse)

There are some things we want to do like the aquarium and we just can't take the dogs everywhere with us.

Also how safe is it to leave the dogs alone in the hotel room?

What is the risk of the dogs being stolen?

We have booked our room already and was just curious.Wife and I taking the dogs to gatlinburg. Do the pet friendly hotels allow you to leave the dogs in the room?
Most let you leave the dogs in the room as long as they are in a crate...

Every hotel is different...call and ask them what their policy is...Wife and I taking the dogs to gatlinburg. Do the pet friendly hotels allow you to leave the dogs in the room?
I don't know about Gatlinburg, but we often travel with our dog. Some hotels allow you to leave them in the room alone and some don't, so you have to ask. If they do, you can usually ask not to have room service that day if you do not feel comfortable having someone else in the room with your dog or your dog is not comfortable with strangers.

To our knowledge, nothing adverse has ever happened to our dog in a hotel room. She loves to travel with us and goes into each room with great joy and she always seems calm when we come back. Because of these reactions, we feel pretty sure that she has been fine with her experiences.

If you don't mind not-so-fancy hotels, you might want to consider La Quinta in the future. They are great with dogs. If you prefer upscale lodging, you might want to check out a pet travel book. There are some awesome Bed %26amp; Breakfasts that cater to both you and your pups.

    Good luck!
I have stayed in two different pet friendly motels. We were allowed to leave the dogs in the room and since the room came with a dead bolt lock, it was secure.

We also let the manager know when we were leaving so that housekeeping would not come in, and we hung the ';do not distrub'; sign on the door.
You booked the room already and have not asked them if it was OK to leave the dogs in the room. You decided that here on Yahoo you'll get a better answer...

OK, I say you can leave the dogs unattended. If the hotel people tell you the opposite, tell them that some guy on Yahoo said it was OK.
I stayed in one once and the only requirements the hotel had was that I have the dog in a kennel while gone.....I would contact that hotel and see if that have any requirements like that...if you plan to bring crates/kennels then I don't see a problem..I just personally didn't want the maid or someone coming in while I wasn't there so I did put a do not disturb sign on the door.
Every hotel we've been in has allowed it. Some hotels require the dog be crated when you can't watch it, but every hotel we've stayed in with a dog has allowed for it to be free.
I would call %26amp; speak to someone in management as to their policies %26amp; what if any services they provide. Have a safe %26amp; fun trip.
Oh of course if he is in the crate but the chase he gets stolen are slim to none because have you ever had anything stolen in hotel

Can dogs pick up infections and illnesses in pet friendly hotels like they can in kennels?

Just cross posting what i posted in a forum.

Ok i was having this discussion with my mum yesterday. On the 9th of Jan my parents have to stay overnight in Wolverhampton for some wedding do. I can't go someone has to stay and be with the dogs. Now i'm happy to look after the dogs don't get me wrong. But i was like telling my mum 'cant we find some hotel that allows pets so we can take them with us' and my mum was like 'they'll get sick, like they did in the kennels'

So i didn't argue with her. But i wanna know what you think? Could it happen?

do'nt get me wrong i'm happy to stay with the dogs, if i wasn't, i wouldn't be a dog owner. But i feel terribly left out and i wanna enjoy the party tooCan dogs pick up infections and illnesses in pet friendly hotels like they can in kennels?
If your dogs are UTD on their vaccinations and on flea preventative, they have about the same chance of getting sick in a dog-friendly hotel room as they do at your local park or on a walk around the block. The risk is there...but it's no greater than the risk of taking your dog for a walk where other dogs have been.

Kennels keep a lot of dogs, usually in pretty close quarters. That's the perfect environment for things to be passed from dog to dog, so I think the risk of a dog getting sick in a kennel is higher than in most other situations.

I have stayed with my dogs at many pet-friendly hotels and vacation homes and never had a problem. Can dogs pick up infections and illnesses in pet friendly hotels like they can in kennels?
well as long as your dog or dogs has all there shots done there should be not problem with them staying in the kennels. But i would go to the vet to get the dogs needles regarding kennel cough. If it was a case in which you had the dogs in kennels before well than she might be right. I would go and chcheckut kennels in your area and see what you think if them. good luck with this
It all depends on how well the kennels/cages are cleaned and also if a water bowl from a sick animal was not disinfected and put in with another animal.
they can pick up things anywere other dogs go so yes it is possible but no more risky than taking them out on a walk.
dependS on your dog's immunity and vaccination
    yes
If you are unfortunate enough to occupy a room where the previous people had a dog, and it was sick, quite possibly. Kennel Cough, for example, is very infectious and I imagine if a dog with Parvo had been in there before you, that could also be picked up. But if your dog(s) are vaccinated, the risk should be minimal. And probably less than going into a boarding kennel where you know there are other dogs, current or in the past! Most good BKs should clean thoroughly on a change-over however.

ps We will be staying overnight in a Travelodge soon with our ******, and you've made me worried...... lol
i don't think they would necessarily get sick... i took my dog on holiday to a caravan in cornwall and she didn't get sick! kennels are worse due to the number of dogs and the fact they tend to kennel them outside... the option you haven't thought about it a house sitter... someone who stays at yours and keeps the dogs in the same environment and same routine... or ask a friend to stay or have them, someone who doesn't want to go to the do! i would have them all here!! but alas, i am in Bristol so its not very practical!

She's a small dog. About 13 poundsCan anyone advice/tell me of any pet friendly, nice and affordable hotels in Orlando, florida? ?
just call around to various hotels in the area and ask if they will allow pets with a pet deposit. It may be $100 or so, but you might be surprised that some will accept pets. I don't recommend leaving her alone, but I suppose if the hotel knows she is in there it should be ok. There are kennels on WDW property (one is by Fort Wilderness campground) that you can board your dog at if you are doing Disney World.

I can save you the hassle -- WDW hotels do not allow animals, and only certain loops in the campground allow animals. Can anyone advice/tell me of any pet friendly, nice and affordable hotels in Orlando, florida? ?
The three on-site hotels at Universal Orlando are extremely pet-friendly. They even offer room service for your pet!

However, they are on the upper end of the price scale for Orlando. Of the three, Royal Pacific Resort has the least expensive rates.

On the other hand, when you stay at one of these hotels, you get front-of-the-line privileges at the theme parks!
Contact Automobile of America AAA by phone or online. They keep a complete listing of places that accept small dogs. Beware these places charge an extra fee 20 to 50 a night for the dog. What do you plan to do with the dog during the day?. You cannot leave him in a hotel room unattended.
There is a Holiday Inn on International Drive (I think 6200 block or so) that is pet friendly, clean, and pretty much everything you would expect from a Holiday in. I-Drive is tourista central so you'll be close to everything.

Are there any pet-friendly hotels in Myrtle Beach?

Two years ago, we went to Myrtle Beach. We didn't want to leave our dog at home by himself, so we took him with us. But we could not locate any pet-friendly hotels. We did manage to locate one particular place that was pet-friendly and it was also ocean-front, but it was a complete sham and was nothing like they have advertised themselves to be, and would not refund our money. They even told us to go talk to the magistrate if we had any complaints.

Not too interested in finding hotel locator websites, because I haven't found any of them useful for finding pet-friendly hotels in Myrtle Beach. But if you know of any that are helpful, and have good hotels in them, please do share!

I would like to know ahead of time which resorts do take pets, from people who have stayed in them, if at all possible.

I don't want to get rooked again, lol.

    Anyway,

Thank you all very much for your responses. A Best Answer will be chosen. Are there any pet-friendly hotels in Myrtle Beach?
There's a Red Roof Inn there that allows pets -- it's a couple of blocks from the beach, though.

Looks nice -- I'd check it out!

Hope that helps! Are there any pet-friendly hotels in Myrtle Beach?
I've spent a lot of time in MB and seems like there should be dozens of them. All of the hotel locator sites I've used usually say pet friendly for more $$.....or not.
motel 6 lets you bring your pets
The LaQuinta does but that is over by Broadway at the Beach.

Compass Cove, which is oceanfront does with a deposit.....that is supposed to be an ok place to stay according to trip advisor.

    Pet friendly hotels around virginia?

My husband, stepson and I are leaving next month for a 2 or 3 day trip to virginia for my step daughter's graduation from high school. We are planning on taking our two labs with us and getting someone to care for our other dogs and 9 cats.( we have 3 other dogs a 9 month old pit bull a 3 month old gsd and a 6 month to 1 year old whippet mix and we are caring for our landlords 2 year old doberman) We dont have enough room in out vehicle to take all the dogs nor do we have enough crates to go around. The pit and the doberman are outside dogs as is the GSD until we move into a bigger house and can get more crates. The whippet mix has her own crate and will go willingly into it on the command ';bedtime'; (right now its 3 crates and 6 dogs) The labs travel well and enjoy going for rides. But we need an idea of what hotels we might look into for the few days we will be gone. We are thinking of having my dad and stepmom look after the other dogs and cats while we are gone.Pet friendly hotels around virginia?

Most Sheratons, Westins, and W hotels are pet friendly, but it may just be one dog under a certain weight.

Many Super 8 hotels, ';choice'; hotels (sleep, quality, clarion, etc), and red lions are pet friendly as well.

I believe that all Motel 6's are pet friendly.

Are you a AAA member? If so, get a guidebook from AAA and it will tell you which places are pet friendly.

Motel 6s are around everywhere and can take pets no problem.

I don't want to leave the dog on her own all night (we prob won't get home til gone 02:00 and that's just not fair) so we thought the best thing to do would be to take the dog and stay over night... every time i type in 'pet friendly hotels in liverpool' in google every time (which is so annoying) it comes up with the adelphi - which is NOT pet friendly !!!! does any one know of any pet friendly B%26amp;B's or hotels ? thanks in advance xPet friendly hotels in liverpool?

Try Hotels.com and go to More Amentities, then choose Pets Allowed and search. Always helps for me. Or, if there is a Motel 6 or a LaQuinta, those are always pet friendly. Also, be sure to ask if there is a pet deposit, sometimes it is $25!

Pet friendly hotels san diego PLEASE!!?

Husband will be working in Chula vista Tues. and Wed. and we need at least 3 star hotel not exceeding $200 not too far from Chula but in a safe neighborhood. No hidden charges and no rediculous pet fee please:)Pet friendly hotels san diego PLEASE!!?
Here are some pet friendly hotels in Chula Vista:

    Good Nite Inn South Bay

    225 Bay Blvd.

    Chula Vista, CA

    About $70/night

Not the prettiest place, and has thin walls, but it's safe and within easy walking distance to many restaurants. It's also an easy commute to the zoo, Balboa Park, etc. They have been renovating over the last few months, so it may be nicer now.

    La Quinta Inn

    150 Bonita Rd

    Chula Vista, CA

    $95/night and up

    http://www.lq.com/lq/properties/property鈥?/a>

This one's cool because it has free internet access in all the rooms, and a free continental breakfast. It's also nicer than the Good Nite Inn. Just make sure you're not on the freeway side, though, 'cause it can get noisy there.

    Motel 6 Chula Vista

    745 E St

    Chula Vista, CA

    About $40/night

This one is very close to the border and the airport, so you may not like the neighborhood. Some people don't mind it, others do. I'd suggest driving by first before making a decision if you're considering this one.

I suggest you avoid the Travelodge Chula Vista. While they are pet friendly, I have heard many reports of bedbug infested beds that leave people itching after they check out. Yikes!

Anyway...of the ones I listed, I think the La Quinta Inn is the nicest and worth the couple of extra bucks. The Good Nite Inn is the second choice. Hope this helps!Pet friendly hotels san diego PLEASE!!?

    Disney World pet friendly hotels?

Can anyone please give me some hotels ON the Disney World grounds that are pet friendly??! Answers are greatly appreciated! =)Disney World pet friendly hotels?
None of the hotels on Disney property allow dogs. There are kennels located throughout Disney property where you can board your dogs. The ONLY spot that you can have your pup stay with you is in your own motorhome/trailer at the Fort Wilderness Campground. Dogs are NOT allowed in the cabins, nor are they allowed in tent camping. You have to have your own camping vehicle to have your pooch with you at the campground.

The kennels are unattended at night, which doesn't seem very safe to me. They give you a number to call in case you need to get in there, but otherwise there is no-one there. (I think worst case scenario: fire... what would happen to them?) Plus, you are responsible for taking them out for their exercise.

Just leave your pup at home with a friend, relative or monitored boarding facility... it'll be much happier and you'll rest easier, too.

EDIT: The kennel is at the Fort Wilderness Campground not the Wilderness Lodge. And although you can walk it, dogs are NOT allowed on those paths, so you would have to drive to drop him/her off. And, the Wilderness Lodge is Moderate not Deluxe.Disney World pet friendly hotels?
NONE of the disney wold hotels allow pets except for service animals (such as seeing eye dogs)

disney world does have a kennel though. you may want to check it out.

this is directly from the disney world website:

    Kennels

Pet Care Kennels鈥攐perated by Best Friends Pet Care, Inc.鈥攁re located adjacent to the Theme Park entrances at Epcot theme park, Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park and Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. At Magic Kingdom theme park, the Pet Care Kennels are located adjacent to the Transportation and Ticket Center. An additional location may be found at Fort Wilderness Resort %26amp; Campground.

With the exception of service dogs for Guests with disabilities, pets are not permitted in the Theme Parks or Disney Resort hotels, or on the Disney Resort hotel or Theme Park buses. Pets may, however, stay in one of the air-conditioned kennels, which are members of the American Boarding Kennel Association.

Kennel fees are per animal, per day. Overnight boarding is also available. At the Transportation and Ticket Center, Epcot Theme Park and Fort Wilderness Resort %26amp; Campground locations, the rate includes 2 walks and 2 feedings per day. At Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Guests are required to walk and exercise their pets 2 times daily.

    Kennel Reservations

Disney Resort hotel reservations do not guarantee a kennel space for your pets. Reservations at the kennels are not required but are suggested. Guests should call the kennel for reservation information.

There are several in North Charleston. I am not sure about downtown. Normally they will charge you between $25-$75 for a deposit. I stayed at the Airport Marriot when we moved back to Charleston and it was a $75 deposit. One time thing as long as your dog dosen't eat the room or mess it up you get it back. They also give you a neat little gift pack for the pooch. treats and such. Try calling around. Soem ot eh hotles will let your pet stay in any room others have specific rooms for pets only. Hi! Pet Friendly hotels will be more expensive than hotels that accepts pets. Why? ';Pet friendly'; means the hotel has added perks for pets (ie. pet spa, grooming, etc) and you will pay extra for it.

Your option is to find a hotel then pay the ';pet fee'; (Under $100) for your dog. I will list a few below in a few minute.

I just did a search for these myself.

Red Roof Inn is usually pet friendly, but doesn't let you leave the dogs in the room if you go out.

Sleep Inn (which is a bit nicer--more of a hotel than a motel) allows dogs -- for an extra $10 per night fee per dog. You may leave the dogs in your room when you go out as long as you post a Do Not Enter sign on the door for staff.

This probably varies from one hotel in the chain to another, so you should check with the hotels in the area where you'll be traveling.

What can I do about a hotel that is no longer pet friendly? I want to bring my chihuahua and was under the impression from reviews on priceline.com(which I booked the hotel through) that the hotel was still pet friendly. They say that they used to be but are not now. I have prepaid for the hotel and cannot get a refund. What should I do? Hotel not pet friendly anymore?
I say, talk to the manager, make it into a big thing, and say that either your baby goes, or they refund you.

It's their fault, they should have mentioned it online.

    Question about pet friendly hotels?

Do you have to keep the pet in a kennel? If you leave the room for a short time do you have to take your pet with you or do they allow you to leave it in the room unattended and not in a kennel? Ive never traveled with a pet and was wondering. Ive seen dogs and cats at hotels before. What are the rules?Question about pet friendly hotels?
No, I don't think they require the animal to be kenneled, but I would recommend it. What if the hoursekeeper opens the door and your dog darts out of the room? Or the dog bites the housekeeper? I always kennel my dog, better safe than sorry...she wouldn't bite anyone, but she would dart out the door. Also, even though my dog was kenneled the housekeeper did not come in the room, she was barking a lot and the housekeeper was intimidated by her. That's okay, just ask for extra towels if your dog will be in the room all day.Question about pet friendly hotels?
You would have to contact each hotel to find out what their specific rules are reguarding this.
i have traveled across the us from ny to california with my dog and the best bet for any dog owner is to make resevations at motel six at the town you expect to be in that night

the dog is allowed to be free in the room and you can leave the dog in the room when you go out many of the managersw of motel six have dogs and i have had only good experiences with motel six but reserve a romm in advance it can be on the same day but you should do it in the early afternoon at the latest and you will always get a dog room

    michael
MOTEL 6 is a very pet friendly motel!
It can vary from hotel to hotel. The best bet would be to call the hotel and ask before you go, so you know what you need to bring.

And if you're allowed to let them run free, I'd suggest the dog pads to lay on the floor just to be safe.
You can leave it when you are gone and not kenneled. But you will have to apy for any damage and the housekeeper might refuse to clean your room.

when u leave the hotel what do they do with ur dog?

do they just stay in the room or is it like boarding? What do dogs do at pet friendly hotels?
Pet-friendly just means that the dog is allowed in the hotel room with you. Usually, you cannot leave the dog alone in the room - you'll have to take him with you when you go out. Some hotels will allow you to leave the dog in the room for a short while if it is securely crated, and if it does not bark. You'll have to check with the particular hotel about its policy regarding pets. What do dogs do at pet friendly hotels?
No you take them with you. Pet friendly means the dogs are allowed in the room with you. You cannot leave them unattended.

If weather is mild and hotel is not pet-friendly, is it legal to leave a dog the a car overnight?

No, that's as bad as leaving a child in the car. Don't you realize that anything could happen? You find out before you go on vacation if the hotel is pet friendly. If not, find somewhere that is or find a sitter for your pet. Btw, I hope you're kidding. Good Luck!If weather is mild and hotel is not pet-friendly, is it legal to leave a dog the a car overnight?
it is illegal to leave your animals in the car at anytime. find a petfriendly hotel. Most Motel 6's are good and just google pet-friendly hotels. or leave your animals at home and have someone sit with them while your gone.If weather is mild and hotel is not pet-friendly, is it legal to leave a dog the a car overnight?
I'm pretty sure it isn't. Even if it was, it's not recommended. Besides the fact that the car would be destroyed, even with a highly trained dog, too many things could go wrong. For starters, the weather is unpredictable. It could be nice in the day, and then freezing cold at night.
Why do that when there are thousands of pet friendly hotels all over the country? Find one on www.bringfido.com. The site will let you search for hotels that don't charge an extra pet fee.
    Thats illegal

    :S

I Think your only allowed to leave them for like 20 minutes or something by law

    :S

    -0x
It's illegal in my city. I wouldn't do it. Either find a different hotel or find a pet sitter or boarding kennel before you leave home.
You should never, ever EVER do something like that. It doesn't matter how nice the weather is, the windows make it like a greenhouse inside a car, not to mention that the air becomes stagnant and gross. If you're going to take your dog with you on a trip, be prepared to go the extra mile to make sure that he is just as comfortable in a hotel as you are.
would you leave your infant in the car overnight?

GOD, HE COULD BE STOLEN,, ETC.

FIND A PET FRIENDLY HOTEL ( most hotels accept Crate TRAINED dogs)
It's probably legal, but I sure wouldn't want to be in a care for 8 hours with no potty break. I hope it's illegal though!

    ~Frankie
if your an animal lover then why would you want to leave the dog in the car, thats as bad as leaving your child in the car.. i know you are asking properly an inoccent question.. but if you did leave him in the car i hope he s***s all over it
It is illegal, find a hotel that accepts animals....
no idea, but no decent owner would do that. Either put your dog in kennels while your away or find somewhere else to stay.
Some places may be illegal but that is also cruel.

If you do that to your dog, I hope you'll find a nice present in the drivers seat.
Well, is he the kind of dog that could get stolen? Like a toy dog or something? Or big like a lab or rott? No its not legal, not very nice but legal. I'd either just sneak your pet in or just leave him in the car, park close to your hotel and leave windows cracked. However leaving windows cracked might attracked prying eyes and hands and someone might try something...Be careful..Just sneak the dog in..
It is illegal to put an animal in a car. They could die from heat.
No, it constitutes animal abuse. There are many many pet-friendly hotels, from road-side motels to five-star luxury resorts. There is no excuse for leaving your dog in the car.

Do you know any pet friendly hotels?

We are moving across country with our three cats and I was wondering what hotels allow pets. I know motel 6 does, but are there any others? Does it cost extra for the pets?Do you know any pet friendly hotels?
La Quinta I've found to be the best one to stay with pets. Not only are they VERY affordable but they're surprisingly nice for the price, they don't charge a pet fee and they have a really great free breakfast - often with make-yourself Belgian waffles, eggs, bacon, etc, as well as cereal, oatmeal, muffins, fruit, juice, etc. I've stayed in several La Quintas around WA state and up in BC, Canada and one in Stockton, CA and everytime really loved the room. I'm also staying in one for a full week in Orlando, FL for the upcoming TICA Annual in Sep.

Note that SOME may not allow pets as they're independently owned but most of them do. You can check at their website - http://www.lq.com/lq/index.jsp

    Super 8 is another one - http://www.super8.com/Super8/control/hom鈥?/a>

I stayed at a Motel 6 this past weekend and though the room was clean and well-maintained it had a tiny bathroom and no microwave, coffee maker or breakfast like La Quinta and Super 8 provide. It also only had these open cubes to put your socks and underwear while the other hotels have dressers or armoires. So I'd definitely pick one of them over Motel 6 if you have the choice. Where I was going I didn't so Motel 6 it was. Super 8 and La Quinta also tend to have free Wi-Fi - important if you want to - or need to - get online.

Another site to look for pet-friendly hotels is http://www.hotels.com You can specify ';pets allowed'; and where you're traveling to and it'll give you the hotels and motels that allow pets. In most cases it will show what the fee is (if any) and any restrictions (dogs under 20 lbs, for example). I always book through hotels.com because once you accumulate 10 nights you get a night for free - and it can be up to $400 for that night despite what you've paid per night for all the stays you've accumulated!

Do be sure your cats are flea-free and tidy up after you leave. The hotels could just as easily change their rules to not allow pets so do what you can to ensure they'll continue this for pet owners. I bring a large litter box with me and a garbage bag to empty it in. Don't leave this for housekeeping - take it with you when you leave and put it in their or another dumpster. I also pack a small dust pan and broom and tidy up the bathroom of any stray litter. Since they don't charge more I don't feel right leaving more work for housekeeping.Do you know any pet friendly hotels?
La Quinta! We stayed there with our three dogs, 1 cat and 1 parrot and they were very gracious. It was during a hurricane. They do not charge extra.

Also Red Roof Inn I believe takes animals. The rooms we stayed in were kinda small though
super 8, I work at one. Travel lodge does as well. Some charge pet fees or ask you put a refundable deposit down though.

Looking for a kennel or dog housing or pet friendly hotel / hostel when I visit Seoul, Korea.?

I am traveling from Mongolia to the US with a dog that I adopted. I am looking to stay in Seoul for a few nights because I will probably never be on this side of the world again. I was planning on leaving my dog in quarantine for a few nights, but I was told that I am not allowed to do that. Then I was going to get a hotel that allows dogs but they are too hard to find, plus I plan on touring and won't have time to take care of my dog. I am looking for a kennel or nice place to leave my dog for three nights. Nov 22-25. (My flight comes in to Seoul late at night the first night, so I would need a place that could accommodate her 10 at night check in. Even if I decided to NOT stay as a tourist, due to flight schedules, I would still need to do something with her the night of 22nd before my afternoon flight to the US on the 23rd.)

The Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas are two of the most popular for dog owners who travel with their pets, and there are many good reviews from users who have stayed at the pet friendly hotels listed on the website.

The most popular pet friendly hotel in Gatlinburg is the Garden Plaza, which has reasonable rates (given its centralized location) and allows up to two pets of any size for $15 per pet for the entire stay. Also check out the Gatlinburg destination guide on BringFido.com for trails in the Smoky Mountain National Park where dogs are allowed: http://www.bringfido.com/destination/cit鈥?/a>

I don't know of a specific website, but just from my personal travel in California with my Pom ';Tiger'; (and it's weekly) I have my own list that I rotate through depending on assignment.

    Hope it helps!

Radisson Suites Covina, Holiday Inn San Diego On The Bay, Hilton Pleasanton at The Club
hotels.com; once you put in very basic information you can specify under ';Hotel Amenities,'; ';Pets Allowed,'; and it will list those hotels
Try www.motel6.com. They usually let the puppies in. That's why I like them.

What are some great pet friendly hotels in Seattle, WA?

we're going on vacation with our 2 chihuahuas and we're looking for a pet friendly hotel downtown or around the center anyway. not crazy expensive. also, an hotel that is ok with letting them stay in our room when we're away for a couple of hours. thanks! What are some great pet friendly hotels in Seattle, WA?
I don't know of ANY hotels/motels that allow dogs to stay in the room when you're not there. Especially dogs as yappy as Chihuahuas are. I would just bring them with you for sightseeing. Pike Place Market is very pet friendly for walking around. The other option would be to check them into a pet motel while you're in town. Many PetSmarts have boarding that's very inexpensive.

Most of the LaQuinta hotels allow pets - but again - don't leave them in your room. Not only against the rules but VERY annoying to anyone left there listening to them yap all day long. Here's some in the Seattle area - http://www.lq.com/lq/proxySearch.do?sear鈥?/a>What are some great pet friendly hotels in Seattle, WA?
this is a tough one because downtown Seattle doesn't have very many green areas for your dogs to go to the bathroom. I know the Seattle Hilton allows dogs with a huge deposit but you don't want to go there because the only park to pee in - freeway park is home to many bums. Downtown is just too cityish. Your best bet would possibly be the Residence Inn which is close to the water, has small little grassy areas for your dog to pee in and don't charge an arm and a leg to have your dog there. It's downtown but not where all the shopping is. I've stayed before and it was so easy having our dog.
Look for extended stay type places, like Marriott Residence Inn. These are usually the places that allow pets, and might even have pet services.

    How do pet-friendly hotels work?

Are there lots of rules you have to follow?

Could you leave your dog alone for an hour or two if you have to?How do pet-friendly hotels work?
In the hotels I stay in, the dog has to be crated if I'm going to leave them in the room while I leave the property.

I pay an extra $15 a night for my pet to stay with me.

My dogs sleep and like to lay on the bed, so I have a king sized blanket I take with me and put on the bed as soon as I arrive to protect the bedspread or comforter from dog hair. How do pet-friendly hotels work?
depends on the hotels since they all have different rules and regulations for it, some only allow small dogs or cats others it doesnt matter the size. most of the time though they do not want you to leave the dog or pet alone in the room for any length of time, they expect you to take it with you just like you would a child. Some also do require that you have verification of the animals shot records as well just to make sure they do not have anything. The best thing you can do is contact the hotel itself and ask them what their specific rules for animals are.
I am a housekeeper for a pet friendly hotel. I don't know how all hotels work, but the one I work at is very lenient with dogs. We don't have specific ';dog rooms'; assigned, we put them wherever we have a vacant room. They do not require you to have a crate, and there really is not a size restriction. There is a couple that come and stay in the hotel for days at a time nearly every month, and they bring their big loveable boxer with them. I don't know if or how long they leave him alone in the room. They take him outside every few hours.

As long as the dog does not destroy the room they do not have a problem with it. We have had people check out, who have kept a dog in the room, and I have found fleas, mountains of dog hair, feces, urine stains, and dog food scattered everywhere. Yeah, I found all of those things in one room before. I was in there for a whole hour, I had to change all of the bedding, spray a whole bottle of Febreeze on the carpet and mattress, and scrub dried feces off of the bathroom floor. But, the dog did not destroy the carpet or bedding, so we did not charge them anything. Didn't leave me a tip, of course, even after I serviced their room for 3 days.

If you are planning to stay at a ';pet friendly'; hotel, you should call and ask what their individual rules are. And, respect your housekeeper and be sure not to let the dog nasty up the room, and leave them a tip when you leave (trust me, they'll appreciate it).
If you need to leave your dog alone, they must be in a crate. You cannot leave them for very long though. Also, if the dog is not properly crate trained and just whines and yelps the whole time, the hotel has every right to ask you to leave.

There are guidelines to every pet-friendly hotel. Each one may have slightly different rules though. Just call and ask.
    The rules tend to vary.

One locally restricts the amount of pets you can bring, and they allow you to leave your dogs in the room alone. You must clean up after them, and they can't be a noise nuisance. Others require you to crate them when gone, or bring them with. It just depends!

Most will allow you to leave your dog, though.
Well most of them don't allow you to leave the dog unattended in the room. The ones who do make you crate them and the dogs can't disrupt anyone so no barking etc. Some have a weight limit and most have a limit to the number of dogs you can have in the room with you.
you get a room that smells of dog poo and wee. which reminds you of home. so it not much like a vacation. that's why my wife and dog go on vacation alone and i go by myself. its great to have a couple weeks out of the year that i don't smell dog pee and poop
    Be very careful. Their motto is, ';here comes a desperate couple who need to house their dog so we can charge extra and ignore the thing.';

What is a good website where i can find pet-friendly hotels? In which the hotels are good too (no nasty bugs)?

Can AAA tell me? I'm specifically looking for hotels in a city called Charlevoix, Michigan. What is a good website where i can find pet-friendly hotels? In which the hotels are good too (no nasty bugs)?
Try www.bringfido.com. It provides photos and a section on hotel reviews, which allows pet owners to leave feedback on the pet-friendliness of particular hotels. In Charlevoix, I would suggest looking at the Pointes North Inn, which has a reasonable pet policy and you can reserve it directly at: http://www.bringfido.com/lodging/81002/What is a good website where i can find pet-friendly hotels? yes, AAA can tell you, and you can get a member discount at some places with your AAA card.

Based on some traveling I did a couple years ago, Comfort Inn and Super 8 motels are generally pet friendly.

** The Super 8 in the area is actually in Petosky (the neighboring city).
