no its ileagal all together to leave a pet in a car. you could get arrested and maybe have your dog takenm away because it would be known as pet abuse...If weather is mild and hotel is not pet-friendly, is it legal to leave a dog the a car overnight?
We have in the past when we were travelling and desperate. The only problem was that we didn't get a good night's sleep as we worried about them and they chewed the seat belts. :D
